The parable of the unforgiving servant could just as well be called the parable of the one who forgave much, since the "hero" of the story, the king, mercifully forgives an enormous debt. Just as we don't always follow the good example of those who have gone before us, the other main character in this parable refuses to offer the same mercy to his debtor. How hard it is to forgive even a little!
